 The West Ranch Town Council is an Advisory Council for Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich. The purpose of the Council is to facilitate the exchange of information and communication between the communities and the Supervisor's office in this unincorporated area of Los Angeles County. Members of the West Ranch Town Council are all elected volunteers from the Community. The Council receives no County funding and derives its operating funds from donations and election fees.
The Council meets the first Wednesday of every Month at 6:30 pm at the Tournament Player's Club -Valencia Clubhouse located at 26550 Heritage View Lane, Valencia. The Council is comprised of 7 members - with an Executive committee of 4 members - the President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. In addition to the Executive committee, the Council also has an Elections Committee, a Government Relations Committee, a Security & Safety Committee, and a Community Liaison Committee, which provides the Council with information on issues in each of our Communities.
 The West Ranch Town Council represents the communities of Sunset Pointe, Southern Oaks, Stevenson Ranch, and Westridge. Our boundaries are measured by the 1-5 Freeway on the East, the Santa Clara River on the North, Calgrove / Rivendale / Antonovich Preserve on the South, and Mentryville / Ventura County line on the West. The West Ranch communities are home to several Los Angeles County Park facilities- among these are the Dr. Richard Rioux Memorial Park and the Jake Kuredjian Memorial Park. Among the locations of historical interest is Mentryville - the sites of the first commercially successful oil well in the Western United States.
